April 2011
hey no worries haha. and i started when i was about 11-12.. but ive grown up around the beach so ive been on boards longer„ like paddle boards and body boards :)
hm i think you mean afraid of drowning not afraid if drawing?
anywayy i think its important to have a go at things you wanna do, and of course by doing this you are going to be put out of your comfort zone, but if you are afraid of sharks and drowning i dont think this is the sport for you… sharks aren’t very common along the coast but there are sightings quite often when the water warms up… most surfers have come across some marine wildlife when they’re out surfing like penguins, dolphins, turtles and stuff like that, but if every time that happens you are afraid if its a shark, then i think you might wanna re think surfing..
and if you’re still up for it, then travelling around to different beaches is an option.. however if the waves suck at your current beach because they are kind of small, then this could be the perfect opportunity to learn without being too scared of drowning.
surfing is one of the worlds safest sports apparently, and i think its better to start on a big foamie, so its unlikey you’ll get too badly bashed up once you’ve gained confidence on the board :)
good lucckk :)
hey thanks :) but I’m actually already following you haha. my personal blog is indiesurfskate and I’m following you on that haha :)
